Common questions about Content Hub

Can Content Hub be deployed on-premise?
Yes. Content Hub is available as both a fully on-premise deployment and a cloud-hosted solution. We also support hybrid configurations. For organisations with strict data sovereignty requirements, our containerised packages (Docker/Kubernetes) run entirely within your own infrastructure.
Does it replace our existing DMS or ECM system?
As needed. Either Content Hub replaces your existing DMS, including data migration, or it connects to your DMS, ERPs, CRMs and cloud storage without migration so existing workflows remain unchanged.
How does access control work?
Content Hub uses a granular ACL (Access Control List) model. Permissions can be defined at the tenant, folder, document, or even field level. Role-based policies ensure the right people access the right content. Multi-tenancy means each organisation or department operates in a fully isolated environment.
What repository types are supported?
Content Hub connects natively to a wide range of repository types including AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, on-premise file servers, and other ECM platforms. Custom connectors can be built for any additional systems your organisation uses.
What document formats does it support?
Content Hub supports a broad range of formats including PDFs (native and scanned), Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF), and more. Our Conversion Services can also transform documents between formats, including to PDF/A-1a for long-term archival compliance.
Is there an API for integration with our own applications?
Yes. Content Hub exposes a full REST API so your development teams can integrate document management capabilities directly into your own front-ends, portals, or internal tools. Webhooks are also available for event-driven integrations.
How are audit logs and versioning handled?
Every document action — upload, edit, view, share, delete — is recorded in an immutable, tamper-evident audit log. Full version history is maintained for every document, allowing you to compare versions, roll back changes, and satisfy compliance requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA.
How quickly can we get started?
Most customers are live within 4–6 weeks of contract signing. This includes environment setup, repository connector configuration, and user acceptance testing. Our professional services team manages the full implementation process.
